Molecular Biology Position – Antibody cloning and expression_______ A temporary laboratory scientist position within the Endogenous Human Biorespons Group, GBT is open for immediately hire. The successful candidate will be a part of a dynamic team and participate in a variety of different tasks but will in particular take on the responsibility for cloning and expression of novel antibodies as well as contributing to the antibody functional characterization primarily by immune techniques. ________________________________________________________________ __ _______________

Role: The primary part of the role is to provide experimental support to drug discovery projects focusing on V-gene recovery, sequence analysis and transient expression in small scale mammalian cell cultures. The qualified candidate will be able to utilize molecular biology techniques to clone and express antibodies from human B cells, and depending on qualification take part in the characterization of the identified mAbs. The candidate must be highly motivated and able to work in a dynamic scientific environment with multiple ongoing projects and colleagues interactions to deliver towards tight timelines. __________

Requirements: B.S. with >5 years experiments or M.S with >2 years of experience ___________ Training and Experience: Basic: • RT-PCR, PCR, preferably with antibody V-gene • State of the art DNA cloning procedures • Techniques for culturing and transfection of mammalian cell culture, preferable with antibody expression • Understanding and hands-on experience with ELISA is a must Preferred: • FACS analysis • SPR technologies, Octet and Biacore for determination of binding kinetics • Operational insight in laboratory automation equipment Technical and Behavioral Competencies: The successful candidate will be able to work to large extend independently but with some supervision in planning and executing experiments. Further, the candidate needs to be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously as well as working effectively with multiple colleagues and project teams to deliver on project goals Therefore is effective oral and written communication skills to support interaction with other scientists at all levels and in multiple disciplines a must. _______UP TO A 9 MONTH ASSIGNMENT.
