Why workers quit

January is typically a time for resolutions — which often translates to a spike in job hunters. And why would workers be looking for the door? A recent survey of 11,000 employees by Boston Consulting Group found that workers are more likely to quit their job if they don’t get along with their manager, if they don’t feel they have the resources to succeed or if they don’t feel they can get ahead in their current position. That means companies that invest in cultivating empathetic managers and opportunities for upskilling and internal mobility are primed to hold onto top talent.
